Terms of service

Effective 2026-08-24

The service

WorkSolo is estimating and invoicing software for sole-trader contractors, sold as a monthly subscription. These terms cover your use of the app and the account you run it under.

Accounts

One account per business. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anyone you let use it. You can close your account at any time.

Payments to WorkSolo

The subscription is billed monthly through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the month already billed.

Payments from your customers

When your customers pay an invoice by card, that payment is collected through Stripe Connect as a direct charge on your own connected Stripe account. You are the merchant of record for that transaction, not WorkSolo, and WorkSolo never holds the funds — Stripe pays them to your bank directly. On the free plan, WorkSolo collects a 1% platform fee out of that same charge as a Stripe Connect application fee; every paid plan takes none. Stripe's own terms govern payouts, disputes and chargebacks on those payments.

Your content

Estimates, invoices and customer records you create belong to you. WorkSolo stores and processes them only to run the service for you.

Acceptable use

Don't use WorkSolo to invoice for unlawful work, or to send content you have no right to send.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is, without guaranteed uptime. To the extent the law allows, WorkSolo's liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding twelve months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes; continuing to use WorkSolo after an update means you accept the new terms. Questions go to [email protected].
