Your customers pay you, not us. Stripe charges the card on your own Stripe account and pays it into your bank on its own schedule, so the money never passes through a WorkSolo account first. On the free plan WorkSolo keeps 1% of each card payment, taken from that same Stripe payment. Every paid plan keeps none.
Setting that up takes a few minutes inside the app. Stripe collects your details, links your bank and handles the verification. WorkSolo never sees a card number.

The things people ask.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Only to take cards. Recording cash and checks, sending estimates and sending invoices all work without one. Connecting Stripe takes a few minutes inside the app, and it is what turns on card payments and pay links.
Which trades is it set up for?
HVAC, plumbing, electrical and handyman each start with their own price book, loaded at signup with the parts and service calls that trade actually charges for. Any other trade starts on the shared list every trade uses and fills in the rest as you go.
Do I have to install an app?
No. WorkSolo runs in the browser on your phone, so there is nothing to download and nothing to keep updated. Your customer does not install anything either.
Can I send an estimate by text?
Yes. An estimate goes out as a link, by email or as a text from your own number, so it reaches your customer from you rather than from a company they have never heard of.
What does WorkSolo take?
On the free plan, 1% of each card payment, out of that same Stripe charge. On every paid plan, nothing. Stripe charges its own processing fee either way, which it takes before paying you out.
Can I use it with a crew?
No, and that is deliberate. There is no scheduling, no dispatch and no way to assign a job to somebody else. If you are running a crew, WorkSolo is the wrong tool.
What happens if I stop paying?
The account drops to free and keeps your estimates, invoices and customers. Free funds itself by taking 1% of card payments instead of a subscription.
